BARBA STATHIS reaffirms its commitment to climate protection with the validation of its CO2 reduction target by the ‘’Science Based Targets" initiative (SBTi)

Committed to taking action on climate change prevention and mitigation, BARBA STATHIS has set clear and science-based targets for reducing its carbon footprint across the full range of its activities.

In July 2024, BARBA STATHIS short-term climate targets were formally validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), marking a significant milestone for the company that recognizes the need for immediate action on climate change. In addition, the company implements awareness-raising actions and training for all its staff and collaborators, reinforcing the collective effort to achieve its climate goals.

The SBTi encourages companies to set clear scientific targets and take action to limit global warming to 1.5°C, as stipulated in the Paris Agreement. BARBA STATHIS commits to reducing its Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 42% by 2030, its scope 3 GHG emissions by at least 25% and its scope 3 FLAG emissions by at least 30.3%. Through its commitment to this initiative, BARBA STATHIS aims to reduce carbon emissions across its entire spectrum of operations, demonstrating its dedication to transitioning to a climate-neutral, zero-carbon economy.
