BARBA STATHIS Continues Its Farmer Training Program for the Fifth Consecutive Year

December 03, 2025

Committed to supporting Greece’s primary sector, BARBA STATHIS has successfully implemented its farmer training program for the fifth year in a row.

The program was carried out across five key agricultural regions where BARBA STATHIS maintains long-standing partnerships, Florina, Larissa, Volvi, Kilkis, and Pella. Led by the company’s agronomists, the sessions provided specialized knowledge and hands-on expertise on critical aspects of agricultural production. Topics included plant nutrition and crop protection, the adoption of best farming practices, and the transition to new technologies that are reshaping the future of the primary sector.

“We stand by the primary sector with action. Together with our farmers, we build relationships of trust because we believe the future of agri-food depends on collaboration and consistency. We invest not only in the land but also in its people—supporting the new generation of Greek farmers through training initiatives, knowledge transfer, support programs, and a scholarship program for the children of our partner producers. Together, we cultivate the resources that will shape the future of agri-food responsibly and sustainably,” said Mr. John Nakas, Agronomist at BARBA STATHIS.
