BARBA STATHIS S.A. announces the acquisition of 80% of HALVATZIS MAKEDONIKI S.A.
BARBA STATHIS, a subsidiary of Vivartia, has announced the acquisition of 80% of HALVATZIS MAKEDONIKI SA, a Greek company with a successful and longstanding history in the agri-food sector.
Founded in 1972 by Vlassis Halvatzis, the company saw a transition in 1989 when his children, Vassilis and Leonidas, assumed leadership and successfully continued the company's upward trajectory.
HALVATZIS MAKEDONIKI SA specializes in producing and distributing a range of products under the brand name "Agrokipos Halvatzi,” including steamed vegetables, ready-to-eat salads with vegetables & pulses, and sugar-free fruit salads. Additionally, the company offers jams, fruit preserves, and vegetables in brine, under the brand names "Halvatzi Family" and "Makedoniki".

In 2022, HALVATZIS MAKEDONIKI SA recorded a turnover of 12.33 million euros, compared to 9.92 million euros in 2021. The profit before tax demonstrated a year-on-year growth of 24.32%, surpassing 1.24 million euros for the whole of the previous year, compared to 998 thousand euros in 2021. The profit after tax reached 988 thousand euros, marking a 24.88% increase from the previous year's figures. Situated in the Rizo area of Skydra, in Central Macedonia, the factory of HALVATZIS MAΚEDONIKI SA spans 40,000 sqm.
