One Gold and Two Silver Awards for BARBA STATHIS at the Hellenic Responsible Business Awards 2025
BARBA STATHIS was once again recognized at the Hellenic Responsible Business Awards, earning three distinctions that highlight the company’s consistent integration of sustainability principles across every aspect of its operations, its commitment to responsible business practices, and its long-standing support of Greece’s primary sector.
The BARBA STATHIS Scholarship Program, implemented in collaboration with the American Farm School of Thessaloniki and now in its fourth year, received the Gold Award in the “Actions for Society” category. Through this program, which offers scholarships to the children of the company’s partner farmers, BARBA STATHIS supports Greece’s primary production sector while also fostering youth entrepreneurship and empowering the next generation of farmers.
In addition, the company has developed a Sustainable Procurement Framework that promotes transparency and the cultivation of long-term, trust-based relationships with its suppliers. The implementation of this framework earned a Silver Award in the “Corporate Governance” category, reflecting the company’s commitment to embedding its ESG strategy throughout its entire supply chain.
Finally, BARBA STATHIS was also honored for its social impact and the active participation of its people in initiatives that make a meaningful difference. The company’s “Together We Do Good” Volunteer Program won a Silver Award in the “Volunteering Program” category.
“We are truly proud of this triple recognition at the Hellenic Responsible Business Awards 2025. This distinction reaffirms our steadfast commitment to implementing initiatives that strengthen Greece’s primary sector and create lasting value for society, our people, and all our stakeholders,” stated Katerina Makridou-Oraiopoulou, ESG & Corporate Communication Director at BARBA STATHIS.
